Eligibility Criteria

Check your eligibility for admission into Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, IT & Business programs at JIU Uganda.

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree Programs in Dental Surgery (BDS) Pharmacy, Nursing & Midwifery

Must have passed the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.At least five subjects passed
Must have passed the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or equivalent. At least two principal passes in Biology and Chemistry and At least one subsidiary pass in Physics or Mathematics.
OR Diploma Holders in health sciences (e.g., Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy) OR HEC
International Students with equivalent qualifications recognized by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB)

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree Programs Computer Science and Software Engineering

Must have passed the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.At least five subjects passed
Must have passed the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or equivalent.Must have at least two principal passes, preferably in Mathematics and Physics or Economics and A subsidiary pass in another science or technical subject is often considered an advantage.
OR Diploma Holders in ICT, Computer Engineering, or related fields
International Students with equivalent qualifications recognized by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB)

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree Programs Business Administration (BBA), Hotel Management , Statistics

Must have passed the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.At least five subjects passed
BBA: Two principal passes, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, or Business-related subjects.
Hotel Management: Two principal passes in any combination, with preference for subjects like Home Economics, Food & Nutrition, or Business Studies.
Statistics: Two principal passes, one of which must be Mathematics, plus a subsidiary in a science or technical subject
International Students with equivalent qualifications recognized by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB)

📘 Diploma Programs

Must have passed the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.At least five subjects passed
Completed Senior Secondary / O-Level equivalent
Pharmacy: One principal pass in Chemistry and Two subsidiary passes on Biology and Physics or Mathematics.
Certificate in Pharmacy / or HEC
Nursing & Midwifery / Clinical Medicine / Medical Laboratory Technology: One principal pass in Biology and Two subsidiary passes in Chemistry and Physics or MathematicsOr OR Certificate Holders in related health sciences may be admitted. OR Higher Education Certificate (HEC) holders may also qualify.
Diploma Nursing / Midwifery (Extension) Entry Requirement: Certificate in Nursing or Midwifery and Minimum of 2 years field work experience after certification
